Chassis, brakes and all under carriage of 2004 toyota 4 runner is rusted. Soon the car will not pass inspection. I do not live in a salt water zone. My car has never driven through salt water. I have 71,000 miles on the car. The brakes were so rusted that i had to replace them. The car will be too dangerous to drive soon.

Severe corrosion of frame at the rear body mount location. The body of the vehicle is no longer secured to the frame at this location due to the severe rust. Significant rust also on the front cross frame member which has the tow mounts rendering them useless and unsafe. Cracked exhaust manifold causing excessive engine noise and exhaust fumes. This is a time consuming and costly repair.

My husband parked the car on a hill in front of a gas station and i stayed in the car sitting on the passenger seat and it just rolled down the hill, caused an accident to a parked car getting gas, i jumped out of the car as it rolled towards a gas pump , slammed on to pump guard. As of yesterday there was a great amount of smoke coming from the area of the oil stick from my assumption the oil was getting on the cadillac converter.
