The lock actuator motors on 4 out of 5 doors have stopped working. only the drivers and rear door have exterior key entry, this dramatically inhibits the access to the back and front passenger seats in the event of an emergency.

My husband parked the car on a hill in front of a gas station and i stayed in the car sitting on the passenger seat and it just rolled down the hill, caused an accident to a parked car getting gas, i jumped out of the car as it rolled towards a gas pump , slammed on to pump guard. thankfully no one was hurt but me when i jumped out of the car.police report filed

Takata recall and hood. these recalls have not been addressed. unable to get a hold of the dealership.

Needed to use my horn when someone drifted into my lane on the interstate. the horn did not work. i could not honk to inform that driver to stay in his/her lane. afterwhich, i took it to my toyota dealer. they diagnosed and discovered the spiral cable had an open circuit. they replaced the spiral cable assembly. from what i remember they told me this cable assembly carried wiring for cruise control, air bags, horn and something else. i do not recall the fourth item.

The driver door actuator stopped working. $700 to fix. apparently they all will go at some time. cost will be $2800.00! apparently this is an extremely common problem that toyota is aware of. please force a recall!

Not sure. wife was driving 2015 4runner into parking lot at low speed and it jumped a tree. not at all saying it is a toyota issue - just to be on safe side reporting. air bags did not deploy. understanding is it just ended up there when she was parking. epic photo - all the same - worth documenting. she advised she was stopped or just stopped prior to the tree-climb. pax side was daughter and taking her in for medical today due to complaints of pain and weakness. police came but did not issue report.

The lock on driver side worked erratically, put in shop cost over $600. weeks later passenger side would not open with remote key. installed myself $300, this should not happen on a car with 40,000 miles. the concern is in an emergency i would have a difficut time removing a person from the vehicle . the part in both cases was the door actuator.

I purchased a toyota 2015 4runner for my 19 year old daughter at serra toyota in birmingham,al on 3/15/17. at the time of purchase i asked the salesman if the car had takata airbags. i was told - no that it did not have these airbags. i knew to ask this question because our honda 2011 crv had them as well as our 2010 lincoln mkx. i have received 2 legal notices for owners of vehicles with takata airbags concerning my daughter's toyota 4runer. i typed in my daughter's vin number on the web site www.airbagrecall.com and it said active recall on my daughter's vehicle. it said recall incomplete on car. manufacturer recall # 14v828. summary set 014. i don't understand how a dealership could sell a car to a 19 year old that has safety issues. she drives it back and forth to college in va. please check on the status of her car for me. when buying her car, all that i cared about was the safety of it. i will be extremely upset if her 2015 toyota 4 runner had recall issues that had not been taken care of before i purchased it. i will be furious ...

Purchased a 2015 in dec. 2014.. in 2015 (not sure of the first date but know it was when going to granddaughter's soccer game) we took a trip using the navigation system and radio. they system stopped for about 4 seconds and started again but had to reenter the navigation. we asked about it and was told it was like a cell phone that stops in some hot spots. it did not happen a lot at first but each time we were told it was a hot spot. the problem kept getting worse. we inquired and was told service would do a diagnostics on it but a cost. we were not willing to pay over $100 to check the problem. and now it is 2018 and we are checking on the internet seeing that it is not hot spots but a problem with the system. only our warranty is out as of dec. 2017. 2 months.. it is a distracting when it goes out while driving so we have to be very careful not to get distracted. we take a map and print outs from google drive to help when it goes out. as per reference number: tsb#5b0035-16... many ...
