I had a new brake pads and rotor's installed at 50,000 miles,at 70,000 miles i discovered that the front lower brake caliper piston had frozen. It was the same for both sides. Took it into the shop, and they said the same thing. Had to have the caliper, brake pads, and rotors, replaced on both sides for a total of $724. Replaced both calipers with re-manufactured parts from a1 cardone and less than 1 year and 5000 miles later both calipers have seized again creating wheel shake when braking above 40 mph. Took my 4runner to be serviced and i was told that both front brake calipers had frozen pistons. Because only one piston worked, they damaged the rotors and worn out the pads unevenly.
